Modus Operandi, located in Melbourne, FL, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated problem solver with exceptional object-oriented design and development skills.

Job Description:

Design, build, and deploy innovative solutions to support the analysis, enrichment and fusion of information for Department of Defense applications.

Responsibilities:

• Specify and Design – Work closely with engineering team to specify and design solutions, and document.
• Build – Build and unit test the specified software using object-oriented best practices. Build demo/prototype software as necessary.
• Deploy – Deploy solutions within complex DoD environments.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field
• 4+ years of software team development experience
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrable knowledge of software engineering principles such as OOA, OOD, requirements traceability, and the Rational Unified Process
• Demonstrable working knowledge of C++ and Java
• Ability to travel part-time

• DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process
